Repairs to the Women's and Children's Center
The COVID-19 outbreak has caused a lot of chaos and we are still trying to adjust to it at St. John’s. Our community has rallied and stepped up to the monstrous task we face. Our amazing donors and volunteers have donated sandwiches, meals and resources to fill the void left by the absence of volunteers. We are thankful for everyone’s hard work.
However, there is always a silver lining. Because we have had to shut down the women’s center to adhere to the social distancing mandate that recommended by the CDC we had the opportunity to make repairs to the convent. The floor in the serving area of the women’s center, which was in desperate need of repair, is near completion. We are so thankful for all the people who made the repairs a reality, we couldn't do it without you. We are taking this time to build a solid foundation to work with. With all things we must look to the good in our communities and the people around us in times of chaos. We are thankful to our community for reminding us that even in times of intense stress there is always something to be thankful for. Thank you everyone, stay well and stay strong.
