First Baptist Church of Hillside Serves Up Thanksgiving in Summer

Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.

More than 250 home-cooked thanksgiving style meals were served on June 30th. The men and women who joined us for breakfast left with high spirits when they heard that thanksgiving turkey would be served later in the day. More than a few men enthusiastically proclaimed, "I'll be back for that!" The meals were delicious and the portion sizes were extremely generous. It is always best to have an abundance, and we certainly had it on that day. The trays were heavy, and people ate happily despite the oppresive heat of the day. We are so happy and proud to be blessed with such lovely people, who can provide such a wonderful meal. The generosity of those in our community is always staggering, and we thank First Baptist of Hillside again for their time and support.
