Thank You Marilyn and Monique!
I want to thank the St. John’s community for their continued support throughout the pandemic. So many people are facing so much hardship, it’s reassuring to know that our community is committed so thoroughly to the mission of St. John’s. We are grateful to everyone who has supported St. John’s and we look forward to the return of all of our wonderful volunteers and groups.
With that said, I want to thank two young women Marylin and Monique for doing something truly special. They alone prepared 40 meatloafs for our meal this past Saturday. It was a humbling act of generosity and it would be a shame had our community not known of their great service to our mission. They cooked the meatloafs in their own home, and I can only imagine how hot the kitchen was. Fortunately, it has cooled down the past few weeks so I hope it wasn’t too bad. I performed “Quality Control” on a few pieces of meatloaf and I can say that not only was it a great act of kindness, it was also delicious! I can only imagine no expense was spared as the meatloaf was absolutely superb.
All of us at St. John’s want to extend our gratitude to Marilyn and Monique and also to our community. Acts of kindness, such as Marilyn and Moniques, truly are touching. We can’t say it enough, we couldn’t do it without you! Thank you to all of the people who make the mission possible, there are so many folks that give so much. Every donation, big or small, plays a part in making the important mission of St. John’s. Thank you everyone, stay safe and be well. We cannot wait to see everyone again!
