Special Thanks to Urban Tandoor for Donating a Meal

On January 21 Urban Tandoor was generous enough to donate an entire meal. Urban Tandoor, which has recently opened, is located in Harrison, NJ. We are thrilled that a new member has joined the St. John’s family and has immediately made an impact in Newark. The Urban Tandoor is an Indian Fusion style restaurant, so many of our guests had an opportunity to try something new! When we went to pick the food up we spoke to Raj, who is the owner of the restaurant. He offered to come down to the soup kitchen and help out. That willingness to not only donate the entire meal, but also to help serve it, is the embodiment of the St. John’s spirit. The donated meal consisted of rice, beans, chicken, fresh salad and a roll. The portions were generous and our guests enjoyed the meal very much. We were happy to be able to serve such a wonderful meal and very thankful to Urban Tandoor. We look forward to working with them more and we’re happy to have added another amazing member to the St. John’s family!
