New Boots for our Guests!

We want to thank one of our newer volunteers, Jessica, for coordinating and organizing an amazing boot drive. New boots are vital to our guests, especially during these heavy snow storms. Our guests face so much adversity, but one of the most pressing issues is the lack of durable footwear. Boots are always an item that the soup kitchen is in need of, and our guests regularly come to us with holes in their boots. Often the sole is separating from the shoe and in one heart breaking case, a woman with bags on her feet. These heartbreaking stories of hardship are only mitigated with the help and generosity of our amazing family. Shoes and boots, the one thing most of us take for granted can once again be provided to those in need. However, boots are always in need. St. John’s distributes a large amount of footwear and any donation is welcome. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have an idea for a drive or donation. Together we can make a difference.
